Spanish fiesta, film marathon and more festival emotions this weekend in Burgas

The penultimate weekend of June will be no exception to the general rule for entertainment in Burgas! From Saturday to Sunday, June 19-21, the seaside city has prepared an attractive program for all residents and tourists.

The top event will certainly be the second edition of the SOLE Spanish Culture Festival. The location is the Flora Expo Center, and admission is free on all three days. la Jose, La Ganga Calé, Amparanoia, Sebastián Piracés will perform on stage. Flamenco, dance, cinema, exhibitions, literary meetings and a lot of southern spirit await you. SOLE Festival 2026 will also host the international qualifications for the World Paella Day Cup - with participants from all over Europe and the selection of the best Bulgarian paella master for 2026. The festival is held with the support of the Burgas Municipality.

If you are a movie buff, don't miss the fifth edition of the "Cinema Vacation" festival with three days dedicated to contemporary Bulgarian cinema, meetings with authors and lively conversation between artists and the audience. The cultural event will be held from June 20 to 22, 2026 at the House of the Petrochemist, and admission to all screenings and events will be free. "Cinema Vacation" 2026 will open on June 20 with the film "Wild Strawberries" by director Tatyana Pandurska. On the first day of the festival, viewers will be able to watch a special program of animated and short films.

On June 20 and 21, 2026, in the "Kraymorie" district, the city of Burgas, the second edition of the "Kraymorski Festival" will be held. Nearly 600 art lovers will perform on the open stage of the "Lodkostoyanka Kraimorie".

Participation in the Festival has been announced by creative formations and individual performers, representing the folklore wealth and contemporary forms of art from the city of Burgas, settlements from the territory of the Burgas district, from municipalities along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and from other regions of Bulgaria. Another favorite event this Sunday awaits all fans of Bulgarian folklore. On June 21, on the Balustrade in front of the "Sea Casino" Cultural Center, at 7:00 p.m., the second edition of this season of "Sunday Horishte" will start.

St. Anastasia Island is a must-see if you are in Burgas and the region this weekend. The Polish Institute in Sofia presents a unique opportunity to meet the living tradition of Polish bread baking. On June 20 and 21, in the unique atmosphere of St. Anastasia Island, a workshop on baking traditional Polish sourdough bread will be held. Participants will go through the entire process of making sourdough bread - from kneading to baking. They will also learn what sourdough is and how it works.
