See which city entrances and exits you can use on May 8th and 9th

On May 8 and 9, Burgas will host the finale of the first stage and the start of the second stage of the Giro d'Italia cycling tour. The legendary race has chosen Bulgaria for its grand start (Grande Partenza). However, this requires the closure of many streets and main roads.

On May 8, from 11:30 to 17:00, residents of the Meden Rudnik resort will be able to reach the center of Burgas via Gorno Ezerovo - Dolno Ezerovo - Odrin Street - Lukoil gas station - Vetren district. Travelers from the city to the complex can use the reverse route - from Odrin Street - Dolno Ezerovo - Gorno Ezerovo - Meden Rudnik resort.

Those coming from the Malko Tarnovo border checkpoint will be able to pass through Marinka - Tvarditsa - "Meden Rudnik" and from there use the described detour route to Burgas.

On Friday and Saturday, there will be police teams at all key points and entrances to the city, directing drivers to possible detour routes.

On May 8, from 12:00 to 14:40, the I-9 road (Burgas - Sarafovo) will be closed in both directions. Residents of the Sarafovo district and passengers at Burgas Airport should plan their trips to avoid the closure of the section. During this period, only special mode vehicles will be allowed to move - ambulances, fire trucks and patrol cars.

On May 9, there will be two options for crossing the city. These are the Metro roundabout and the street in front of Garov Square. There, one lane will be organized with two-way traffic.
