Mayor Nikolov discussed preparations for Eurovision 2027 with the British Deputy Ambassador

The Mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov, held a meeting with the Deputy Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bulgaria, Elizabeth Chapman. The main topics of the conversation were the preparations for Eurovision 2027, security, the tourist potential of the region and the opportunities for welcoming the numerous international guests.

The meeting discussed the readiness for the large-scale music event, which is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors from nearly 40 countries. Among the highlights were the transport connectivity with the United Kingdom, including the year-round air connection between Burgas Airport and London-Luton, as well as the rich accompanying cultural program.

The Ministry of Tourism is expected to prepare initiatives to present Bulgarian traditions, culture and hospitality. The possibilities for cultural exchange between representatives of different countries were also discussed.

Mayor Dimitar Nikolov emphasized that Burgas and the region have significant experience in welcoming international tourists, developed infrastructure and a large bed capacity.

"We are an established tourist destination where hospitality is part of everyday life. People here are used to welcoming guests from all over the world and I am convinced that we will create a positive atmosphere for everyone who arrives for Eurovision," said the mayor.

He noted that the Sunny Beach resort complex is among the most popular entertainment and nightlife destinations in Europe, and the large accommodation capacity in the region is a serious advantage in organizing international events.

The conversation also focused on coordination between institutions, security measures, and the creation of the necessary conditions for a comfortable and pleasant stay for guests.

The meeting took place in a spirit of partnership and readiness for cooperation on initiatives that will contribute to the international popularity of Burgas and Bulgaria.
