Church of Saint Paraskeva

The Church of St. Paraskeva (13th–14th century) is a single-nave structure with a narthex, built of hewn stone and brick arranged in alternating bands. A row of blind arches runs along the northern and southern facades; their tympana catch the eye with rich ornamentation. The motifs—herringbone, sun, zigzag, checkerboard, and others—are executed in stone and brick, while the wall above is adorned with decorative bands of glazed four-lobed and circular bowls embedded directly into the masonry.
