Rusokastro Fortress

Rusokastro Fortress, also known as Rusokastron, is the largest medieval fortress in Southern Bulgaria, covering an impressive area of 52 decares. It is located about 30 km west of Burgas, within the municipality of Kameno. The fortress stands on a high rocky hill known as “Rusin Kamak,” which is naturally protected on three sides by the Rusokastrenska River.
