Hammond Brothers Quartet

Vilizar Gichev – Guitar Andrey Gichev – Hammond Organ Arnau Garrofé – Tenor Saxophone Teodor Toshkov – Drums Hammond Brothers makes its debut as a quartet, presenting a new program that combines original music with repertoire rooted in the classic Hammond organ tradition. At the heart of the music is the classic Hammond sound, drawing inspiration from Jimmy Smith, Wes Montgomery, Grant Green and Jack McDuff. At the same time, the project looks towards a more contemporary jazz language, inspired by musicians and groups such as Larry Goldings, Peter Bernstein, Joey DeFrancesco, Joshua Redman and the album Elastic. Different generations of jazz musicians meet on stage, with the classic Hammond format serving as a foundation for original music, improvisation and a contemporary sound. Expect an evening of swing, blues, groove and plenty of improvisation — music where tradition meets the present.
