Juliana Antonova-Murata presents her new book “Sate Sate, Japan” in Burgas

On October 5th at 6:30 PM, the career diplomat and author of five books, Juliana Antonova-Murata, will be a guest at the Burgas Library. Her latest book "Sate Sate, Japan" will be presented at the meeting. The latest work by Juliana Antonova-Murata immerses us in the unadulterated atmosphere of Japanese philosophy, seen through the eyes and heart of a Bulgarian woman who spent decades in the heart of its diplomatic and artistic elite. She served three terms as consul, cultural attaché, and minister plenipotentiary at our embassy in Tokyo, creating close contacts and ties with the cultural circles of the Land of the Rising Sun. Emblematic is her family friendship with the fashion genius Issey Miyake, who created a special series of clothing and a limited collection with a Bulgarian rose, personally inspired by her. The husband of Juliana Antonova-Murata, director of the prestigious international Daido Moriyama Foundation, organized the four landmark exhibitions in Japan of Hristo Javashev-Christo. In her meeting with Burgas readers, the author also includes a personal sentiment - in the distant 90 years, she organized and opened an exhibition at the Tokyo Daikayama Gallery of our eminent fellow citizen, the artist Stoyan Tsanev, which became a cultural event.
