Solnitsi Beach
Solnitsete Beach is one of the most secluded and tranquil beaches in the Burgas area. It is located further north of the North Beach, in the vicinity of Atanasovsko Lake — one of the few places in Bulgaria where you can enjoy spa treatments completely free of charge, under the open sky. In recent years the beach has become quite popular among those who prefer to avoid large crowds and sunbathe undisturbed. Kite and windsurfing enthusiasts are also drawn to the peacefulness of Solnitsete, making it their chosen spot to practise their favourite sport. The beach strip is covered in black sand, which during the summer heats up so intensely that it is almost impossible to walk on barefoot — though in return it is clean and fine-grained. The greatest advantage of the beach, aside from the fact that you will be among only a handful of visitors, is its proximity to the Burgas salt pans, where natural pools of therapeutic mud, salt and brine can be found. Entry is completely free of charge, which is why the sight of people covered in mud is an entirely common one during the summer months. You are welcome to follow the example of the locals, for whom it is a pleasure after a long working day to treat themselves to a few therapeutic procedures, then rinse off in the sea and catch some sun. This is deeply relaxing and reinvigorates all who experience the healing gifts of nature — mud, brine, sunshine and sea water. There is a car park near the beach where you can leave your vehicle. Free wi-fi is also available in the area of the mud and brine pools.
