For the first time, Bulgaria will host the World Jet Ski Championship, competing against traditionally strong countries in this sport such as France, Italy, the Czech Republic and Belgium. The attractive competition will be held in Burgas, and Mayor Dimitar Nikolov confirmed the readiness of our city to co-organize the event together with the local Aquatrax Racing club and the Bulgarian Water Sports Federation. The Chairman of the Federation, Todor Hristov, emphasized the importance of the event for the region - both for the economic effect and for international advertising, and thanked for the successful cooperation with the Municipality over the last five years. The competition will be held under the patronage of Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, and the Aquatrax Racing club will be responsible for the sports part of the event. Over 300 participants from all over the world will join the race, and spectators and fans are expected to exceed 5,000 people each day. The event will be accompanied by a rich cultural program that will attract both competitors and tourists, promoting jet ski sport and the hosting of Burgas. A special Eurosport media team will broadcast the competitions live, with a global audience exceeding 100 million viewers. Sarafovo Beach was approved as the venue for the event due to its excellent logistics, natural features and capabilities to ensure the safety of spectators and participants.
