The State Puppet Theatre - Burgas has presented its idea for a mascot for the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest. Named with the resonant name Euroglarus, it is inspired by one of the most recognizable symbols of our seaside city.It is an attractive puppet on stilts, familiar to the audience from the street performance "Burgas Gulls", created based on an idea and directed by the theater's director, Petar Todorov."What more suitable mascot for Eurovision and symbol of Burgas than the Burgas gull? And who better can create puppets than the Puppet Theatre - Burgas? Over the years, the song contest has had various mascots, but in our opinion, the most suitable for Burgas is the gull because it is freedom-loving, colorful, artistic, and an inseparable part of the seaside city's spirit. And its unique 'musical' voice is the sound we are all used to in Burgas - a part of our daily life and a true sonic trademark of the city," the theater states.Their proposal did not go unnoticed outside Bulgaria either, and photos of Euroglarus have already appeared on various international platforms.
