Milena Milotinova: Burgas was chosen as the host city due to the strongest overall candidacy

Burgas will host Eurovision 2027, and preparations for the large-scale international event are already underway. This was stated by BNT Director General Milena Milotinova in “The Day Begins”. According to her, Burgas’ candidacy received the highest score due to its overall concept, infrastructure, transport connectivity, hotel facilities and the municipality’s commitment.

This includes a venue for the event itself, the Burgas Arena, very strong commitment from the municipality, transport connectivity, good infrastructure, good hotel accommodation facilities. And also a vision of how to make the overall experience so that it includes the entire city, not just the city of Burgas and the region, and becomes a memorable event.” ---

The choice of host was made after a comprehensive assessment based on multiple criteria, grouped into five main areas. The documentation on the candidacies was reviewed by an international expert working group.
