The leading combat sports chain in Bulgaria has officially announced its return to the seaside. The most anticipated autumn event in combat sports in our country - MAX FIGHT 67, will take place on November 28, 2026 (Saturday) at 5:30 p.m., and will once again be hosted by the renovated Mladost Sports Hall in Burgas. Just a few months after the huge success of the summer edition of MAX FIGHT 66, the city will once again welcome the elite of the martial arts in our country for a memorable evening in November. One of the biggest fights is already clear - an international fight at the world level according to the most attractive rules - Muay Thai with MMA gloves in the super welterweight category. Two of the most explosive fighters Burgas has ever seen will face each other. The multiple champion of Turkey, the fighter who got the audience on their feet in the seaside town - Burak Poyraz, returns to the ring after the epic and bloody fight against the champion Martin Petkov in the summer, and his only goal is a rematch for the title. So far, he has achieved 31 victories, 7 of which by knockout, and has also recorded 7 losses. However, he will face the well-known and beloved by the Bulgarian public Denis Tsapu from Moldova. The WAKO world kickboxing champion enters the match with impressive statistics - 19 wins (8 by knockout) and 4 losses. Tsapu himself has already issued a direct challenge to Martin Petkov - and he wants the belt. Poyraz and Tsapu also have a history with each other. In 2021, the two faced each other in the ring. The Moldovan won a fight under K-1 rules - big gloves, knees allowed, but not elbows, a rulebook to which Tsapu is better adapted. The event will aim to build on the foundations that MAX FIGHT 66 laid a few months ago. A fighting gala evening, full of memorable, spectacular moments. In the summer, Borislav Velev - Roy returned to the professional ring with a knockout that became an internet sensation. After a serious knee injury that took the undefeated Velev out of boxing for 2 years, the knockout artist continued what he had started. 15 matches - 15 consecutive wins - 15 knockouts. In the third round of his fight with Dimitri Trenel, the Bulgarian landed an uppercut that left his French opponent unable to stand up, a blow that earned Velev and MAX FIGHT millions of views on social media. In the main fight of the evening, the light middleweight Muay Thai champion of the circuit, Martin Petkov, achieved his 15th victory. The Godech-born fighter prevailed over Burak Poyraz by unanimous decision after a 3-round battle in the ring. In the second round, Burak landed an elbow that opened up a serious gap for the champion, but Petkov's staff handled it and the fight continued. After a contested third round, the judges awarded the victory to Martin. Before the main card began, MAX FIGHT had already turned the day into a true celebration of martial arts. In addition to partnerships with KIDS EXPO events, as well as the Plovdiv Sports Festival, the chain launched its own campaign, which aims to develop sports among young people, get them off the streets and into the gyms. The "Open Day" gave aspiring amateurs and semi-professionals of all ages from clubs across the country the opportunity to show off their skills and experience what it's like to stand under the spotlight of the professional ring. The debut edition of the campaign, held in collaboration with the Municipality of Burgas, became a real success. Over 100 participants took to the ring, with enthusiasts having the chance to compete in 8 different sports - boxing, kickboxing, MMA, muay thai, jujitsu, grappling, combat sambo and karate. The future stars of combat sports in Bulgaria prepared the ring for the current ones - a card full of spectacular fights. Who will win the clash of the titans and get the right to face the MAX FIGHT champion, we will find out on November 28th. Tickets are now on sale kupibileti.bg
