Biodiversity Carnival

We are pleased to invite you to take part in Burgas’s traditional children’s carnival parade, which in 2026 will be dedicated to the sea and its countless wonders. This year’s theme is: “The Inhabitants of the Sea” We invite all children from Burgas kindergartens and primary school classes to parade in costumes representing marine animals, plants, birds, ships, lighthouses, waves, dunes, beaches, fishermen, and ecosystems connected to the Black Sea and the Burgas region. Burgas is a city that lives by the sea—it inspires our culture, our natural environment, and our everyday life. Through this carnival, we want children to discover the richness of the Black Sea, its inhabitants, and the importance of keeping it clean and alive. The parade will begin with a festive procession from the Burgas Municipality building along Bogoridi Street to the Sea Garden, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy the colorful costumes and the imagination of the participants. The finale will take place at the Summer Stage “The Snail” (“Ohlюva”), where all participants will walk across the stage and present themselves to the audience.
