Poetic Exchanges: Ina Ivanova and Diana Savateva

Poems from Ina Ivanova’s book “An Untouched World” (2026) and new works by Diana Savateva will be featured in the autumn edition of the series “Poetic Exchanges.” A podcast in which each of the two authors takes on the role of both questioner and seeker of answers—or perhaps an open dialogue about literature today, one that also draws the audience into the conversation? Diana Savateva about Ina Ivanova: “Warm, exquisite poetry, turned toward the world around us and the worlds within us, discovering ‘that primordial, oldest alchemy.’ Ina does not back away from the difficult and deeply courageous choice to ignore the vulgar, the cynical, and the ugly, and instead make visible those small yet great miracles that give meaning to every day. She invites us to recognize, together, the flavors of life; she shows us the tender side of love without worrying that it might sound old-fashioned, with the absolute conviction that love can never be retro. To preserve your sensitivity and your passion for contemplation, so that you can discover the untouched corners in a world with a distorted value system—even that alone is enough to give Ina Ivanova’s poetry an aura that sets it apart from everything else.” Ina Ivanova is the recipient of the Hristo Fotev Award for her book “The Things We Keep Silent About.”
