"Believe in Burgas" Mini Tour

Burgas Becomes Part of Camino Bulgaria – A Pilgrimage Route to the Relics of St. John the Baptist

Pilgrims, travelers, and visitors will have the opportunity to walk the same path that generations before them followed, inspired by faith and hope. Along the way, they can embark on a meaningful journey of reflection and discovery.

There are three pilgrim passport stamps available along the entire route. The first stamp can be collected at the Tourist Information Center, while the other two are available at the Ethnographic Museum and the Cathedral of Sts. Cyril and Methodius.

The Burgas Camino route includes 15 stops throughout the city:

1. Tourist Information Center – The starting point, where pilgrims receive their Camino passports and the first stamp.

2. Surp Hach Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church

3. Holy Mother of God Orthodox Church

4.The Synagogue – now the City Art Gallery, featuring the exhibition Strandzha Icons on the third floor.

5. The Gramophone Monument

6. Sea Casino Cultural Center

7. The Pier

8. The Pushkin Monument and the Petko Zadgorski Bust

9. P. K. Yavorov Regional Library

10. Ethnographic Museum – Burgas

11. Cathedral of Sts. Cyril and Methodius

12. The Compass – the zero-kilometer point of Burgas.

13. Arch of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker

14. Our Lady of the Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church

15. Dormition of the Mother of God Eastern Catholic Church and the building of the French Catholic Boarding School
