The first weekend of August offers a rich palette of events in Burgas (PROGRAM)

Burgas enters August with a festive spirit. During the first weekend of August, Burgas residents and guests can enjoy cinema screenings, poetry evenings, exhibitions, sporting events, festivals and outdoor concerts.

On July 31 at 7:00 PM, the Regional Library "P. K. Yavorov" - Burgas will welcome fans of auteur cinema with a screening of the documentary and short film "Cairo". Viewers will be able to immerse themselves in the Egyptian city full of history and learn interesting details about it. Admission to the screening is free.

This Friday and Saturday, from 5:30 PM, the open-air stage "Ohlyuva" will host the XVIII Summer Festival of Sung Poetry "Salty Winds" - the established festival of bards and poets with guitar. This year, the festival will feature 25 individual performers, four duets and one group formation.

From August 1 to 31, every day between 10:00 and 21:00, residents and guests of Burgas will have the opportunity to experience a selection of works by some of the most significant names in British contemporary art in the exhibition "Butterflies and Diamonds". The official opening is on July 31 at 18:30 with free admission, and on the remaining days the exhibition will be available for viewing with purchased tickets.

On Friday we have an offer for the little ones. From 7:00 PM in Hall 2 of the Flora Expo Center, the Burgas State Puppet Theater will delight children with the puppet show "Plums for Garbage". The well-known folk tale will be presented in the language in which modern children communicate in order to understand and love Bulgarian folklore. Are you ready to party? On July 31 and August 1, the beautiful island of St. Anastasia will host the two-day Bass That Island festival. This year, the event offers two main stages and one daytime stage, where you will hear D'n'B, Techno, Trance and Reggae. Before the big show in the evening, the organizers have prepared daytime parties, which you can attend without the need for a festival ticket, but with a standard travel ticket.

From July 31 to August 2, every day from 10:00 to 20:00, the Flora Exhibition Center will transport visitors to the atmosphere of Asia through the Sora Fest festival. Guests will be able to immerse themselves in the traditions, cuisine and art of Asian culture during the three festival days.

Another different event with an interesting location awaits us this weekend. On August 1 and 2, the Burgas brewery Metalhead is organizing a beer festival for another year, filled with a variety of drinks and rock music. This year's edition will bring together 20 independent breweries, 10 of which are from abroad. Among the most anticipated participants is the Romanian Hop Hooligans, considered one of the leading craft breweries in Europe. The festival will be held in the Mineral Baths Park, starting at 12:00.

At 4:00 PM, Aleko Konstantinov Street in Burgas will become the scene of an unusual city event - the "Let's Sit at One Table" festival, organized by three civic initiatives: "The Formula is in You", "Girls Just Do" and "Less is More". The idea of ​​the event is to get people to step out of the digital world and communicate live with neighbors and strangers, young and old, locals and guests of the city.

At 19:00, the third edition of BRAVE 107 will take place in Arena Burgas, an event that puts Bulgaria and Burgas on the world MMA map. Among the participants are Stoyan Koprivlenski, Pavel Vladev, Anton Yanchev, Kaloyan Kolev and others. Tickets can be purchased from kupibileti.bg .

At 8:30 PM, the Burgas Summer Theater welcomes the National Song Contest “Burgas and the Sea”. It has established itself as one of the emblematic musical events in Burgas. The special guest of the event will be the singer Maria Ilieva.

The weekend will end with a Sunday Horishte at 7:00 PM on the Balustrade next to the Sea Casino Center. The evening will bring together a variety of dances from different folklore regions and offer another colorful journey through the richness of Bulgarian folk tradition.
