For the first time in its 109-year history, the Giro d'Italia starts in Bulgaria, and Burgas will be the main center of the event.
On May 6, the Summer Theater will host the presentation of the teams that will participate in this year's cycling tour. On May 8, our city will host the final of the first stage, and on May 9, the second stage of the tour will begin in Burgas.
All this requires a change in the organization of traffic and the closure of several central streets in the city.
To reduce the inconvenience for Burgas residents, the Municipality of Burgas and its partners are providing several buffer parking lots, which can be used free of charge by anyone wishing to leave their cars from May 6 to 9.
From May 6 to 9, free parking will be available at:
- Part of the parking lot at Metro
- The second floor of the Grand Plaza mall
- Part of the parking lot at BILLA Trapezitsa
On May 8 and 9, the parking lot at BDU "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" will also be accessible.
On May 8 and 9, the extreme right lanes of:
- Odrin St. (between Trapezitsa and Lukoil gas station)
- San Stefano Blvd. (between Stefan Stambolov Blvd. and Demokratsiya St.) will also be designated as buffer parking lots.
You can see an interactive map of the closed streets and the provided buffer parking spaces HERE
