State Puppet Theatre - Burgas is a professional theatre for children, founded in 1954, and in 1962 it acquired its state status. With its over 350 real positions, over 20,000 performances performed in front of more than 3,000,000 spectators, foreign tours in Europe, Asia, Africa and America, numerous individual and collective awards from National Reviews and International Festivals, DKT-Burgas has established itself as one of the leaders in the country. The troupe maintains a repertoire of over 50 titles, with 3-4 new productions created each season and over 350 titles performed. Every year the theatre receives invitations to participate in at least 6 festivals in Bulgaria and the country. The theatre's repertoire includes titles from world classics for children, world-class Bulgarian and foreign authors - fairy tales, musicals, folklore, educational and interactive settings. Priority with performances for children – from 0 to 12 years old. and family theater. Since 2014, SPT - Burgas has organized the Summer International Puppet Festival in the open air “Days of Puppets” in the Burgas Sea Garden – on the “Ohlyuva” stage – the most attractive and visited place with over 700 seats. The festival is supported by the Municipality of Burgas.
