Its author, the acclaimed contemporary French playwright Eric Assous, crafts an original story in which a husband, a wife, and a probable lover shatter the illusion of the perfect married couple through humor, finesse, intelligence, and elegance—brought to life on the Bulgarian stage by three of the country's most popular young and charismatic actors: Filip Bukov, Desi Bakardzhieva, and Petar Danov. With effortless French flair, the trio balances ruthlessly funny dialogue with a masterfully constructed plot. We watch them with bated breath in an authentic theatrical whirlwind, where Filip combines inexhaustible energy and boyish charm with the depth of a man caught in his own trap; Desi is elegant, magnetic, and nuanced in revealing the secrets of female nature; and Petar, skillfully embodying his character, adds color and substance to the absurdity created by Assous.
