THE END AFTER YOU

with the participation of the actors: Marin Apostolov, Nikol Karabinova, Boris Dikov, Lyuboslava Marinova, Viktor Mladenov, Nikola Parashkevov “The End After You” by Xavier Duranger is a contemporary play aimed at a youth audience, which explores the mechanisms of violence in the context of the forming identity and the fear of the unclear future. The text problematizes the way in which a young person experiences closeness, rejection and the desire for belonging in a world with shaky moral and social guidelines. At the center of the action are six characters, whose relationships move between friendship, love and hostility and gradually escalate to physical and emotional aggression. Violence arises as an internal consequence of the impossibility of naming affect, of the lack of language for pain, fear and vulnerability. This is a raw and honest text about growing up, about the fear of abandonment and about that critical moment in which the desire for closeness is transformed into an impulse towards destruction.
