PLUMS FOR RUBBISH
🫏 On July 31 (Friday) at 7:00 PM, we'll welcome you to Hall 2 of the Flora Exhibition Center for the performance "Plums for Rubbish"! 🫏 🧑🏻🦱 "PLUMS FOR RUBBISH" 🚐 👉 The performance is based on an original script by Petar Todorov, inspired by the Bulgarian folk tale of the same name. The project's aim is to "translate" this traditional story into the language today's children speak, helping them understand and appreciate Bulgarian folklore. A young man travels from village to village, offering plums in exchange for rubbish, hoping to find a kind and hardworking young woman to marry. This unusual and humorous tale from the past—one in which many modern audiences may recognize themselves with a smile—is brought to life through bursts of laughter, fast-paced action, and self-irony. The stage is filled with a colorful cast of characters that embody the spirit of the Bulgarian national character, reminiscent of the figures in Yordan Radichkov's stories.
