The Far East: a short film with stories
The Far East has always been interesting to Europeans, very different and somehow mystical - a place where time flows at a different pace, life intertwines a different philosophy, and people are somehow different. With their introversion, harmony and restraint, Eastern people not only attract the fantasies of Westerners, but have also become a trend that drives entire marketing industries. However, is this idea of ours about the East relevant? In addition to being a place of clergy and traditions, it also faces the challenges of modernity and it is true that we have something to learn from it, but perhaps it is also true that it has something to learn from us. Things are not at all black and white, but it is certain that the Far East is truly an incredibly interesting place and that is why we have collected short films and documentaries from China, Taiwan, Japan, Nepal and Thailand to cover this world from completely different perspectives and even aesthetic points of view, in search of a better understanding of what makes it so different and why.
