Folklore Festival "Horo by the Azure Coast"
On June 13 (Saturday) at 4:30 p.m., Troika Square in Burgas will become a stage for Bulgarian traditions, music and folk dances, welcoming the participants in the XI National Folklore Festival for Folk Dance Clubs "Horo krai Azurniya Bryag". Thanks to the long-standing support of the Municipality of Burgas, the Executive Agency "Military Clubs and Military Recreation" and the main organizer, the Folklore Club "Lazur", the event continues to fulfill its mission - to preserve, promote and transmit the wealth of Bulgarian traditions and folklore to future generations. In the eleventh edition, 22 folklore clubs from Burgas, Plovdiv, Karlovo, Chirpan, Sliven, Shumen and Aytos will participate, with a total of over 780 participants. In the words of the festival's creator and honorary citizen of Burgas Boycho Yanev: "For eleven years now, "Horo krai Azurniia bryag" has been proving that Bulgarian folklore is alive and continues to unite people. Every horo, every song and every costume carry the memory of our ancestors. That is why we chose the motto "The root brings us together" - because it is the roots that give us the strength to preserve traditions and pass them on to future generations." "The Root Brings Us Together" is more than a festival. It is a meeting of generations, a bridge between the past and the future, and living proof that Bulgarian folklore continues to unite people regardless of age, profession, and place of residence. We are waiting for you at Troika Square on the great celebration of the Bulgarian spirit, tradition and unity.
