DREAM FEST

From September 9 to 12, Burgas becomes the scene of the first edition of the Student Film and Theater Festival NATFA "Krastyo Sarafov" and the Municipality of Burgas present Dream Fest - Student Film and Theater Festival. The event under the title "Burgas is in the Main Role" will be held from September 9 to 12 and will present to the audience some of the best productions of the students at the Academy. The Dream Fest program brings together theater performances, film screenings, creative meetings, scenography and photography exhibitions, which show the diversity of the creative work at NATFA. Entrance to all events is free. The festival program will be located at various locations in Burgas - National Broadcasting Corporation Cultural Center, Open Stage "Snail" in the Sea Garden, Drama Theater "Adriana Budevska", State Puppet Theater - Burgas and International Congress Center - Burgas, and one of the theater performances will go beyond the traditional stage spaces and will be presented directly on the beach. Among the main highlights of Dream Fest is the opportunity for a meeting and a real exchange between young artists and the audience of Burgas. The festival creates a space for dialogue between education, culture, the professional scene and the city – a place where the next generation of artists can not only present their work, but also share ideas, create new contacts and dream more boldly. As part of Dream Fest, on September 11 and 12, a Youth Conference on Cinema and Theater will be held at the International Congress Center - Burgas. It will bring together students, young artists, teachers and representatives of the educational and cultural environment. The conference program includes discussion panels and practical workshops in the field of theater, dance and performance, scenography and animation, creating an opportunity for conversation, exchange of experience and direct meeting between young people and professionals in various fields of art. Dream Fest also marks another important moment for NATFA - for the second consecutive year, the Academy opens an academic year at its branch in Burgas. This year, the beginning is even more special, as the Academy is opening two entirely new majors - “Dance and Performance” and “Animation and Design”, which will be taught only at the NATFA branch in Burgas. The presence of NATFA in the city is gradually building a new academic and creative environment, and the festival is a natural continuation of this relationship - a meeting between the students, the city and its audience. Dream Fest is also organized jointly with the “Burgas 2032” Foundation and the Municipality of Burgas.
