Ethnographic Museum

The Ethnographic Museum is housed in the well-known Brakalov House, which belonged to the emblematic public figure and patriot Dimitar Brakalov, twice mayor of Burgas. The house is located in the city centre and was built in 1873. In terms of its architectural design, it belongs to the type of "Balkan" urban residence of the 19th century — the only preserved example of its kind in Burgas. The museum presents the traditional culture and way of life of old Burgas. Following an extensive renovation, the site can now also boast storage facilities, an ethno-kitchen, an ethno-café, an open-air stage, parking for museum vehicles and two restoration workshops.
