Days of Russian Piano Music

On July 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM, a concert from the "Days of Russian Piano Music" series, dedicated to the work of P. I. Tchaikovsky, will take place at the "Sea Casino" Cultural Center. This year's edition carries the motto "A Tradition Continues" - a message that focuses on the continuity between generations of musicians. The teacher and his student - pianists Rada Chomakova and Denitsa Hristova - will meet on stage, presenting a program dedicated to some of the most beloved piano works of the great Russian composer. The audience will hear "Word", Op. 59, as well as the piano suite "The Nutcracker" in a transcription for piano by St. Esipov. The evening will conclude with scenes from the ballet "The Sleeping Beauty", presented in an arrangement for piano four hands by Sergei Rachmaninoff. For more than two decades, the "Days of Russian Piano Music" have occupied a worthy place in the cultural calendar of Burgas. Each edition is dedicated to a different emphasis from the rich heritage of the Russian piano school, and the festival invariably combines high performing skills with respect for tradition. The current concert is also a symbol of the connection between generations - a tradition that is passed down not only through great works, but also through the inspiration, knowledge, and trust between teacher and student. The event is organized with the support of the Municipality of Burgas and the Black Sea Institute.
