Swimming pool "Meden Rudnik"

The Meden Rudnik swimming pool was put into operation at the end of 2014. The large pool in the complex is 12.50 x 25.00 m in size and 1.80 - 2.00 m deep. The facility is equipped according to the requirements of the Bulgarian Swimming and Water Polo Federations. An electronic information board has been installed. The complex has a vertical filtration system, a compensation tank with the necessary dimensions and equipment, an ozonation system (the first of its kind in the city) for water purification and an external overflow. The ozonation system is low-energy and environmentally friendly. The second pool is a training pool, measuring 10 x 10 m and 0.80 - 1.20 m deep, also with a vertical filtration system, a compensation tank, and an ozonation system for water purification. To avoid slipping accidents, the floor around the pools and stands is made of matte granite tiles. For spectators, stands with 300 seats have been built. The complex has a sound system and video surveillance. It is accessible to people with disabilities. In the service part of the building there are offices for coaches, a room for a lifeguard - instructor, changing rooms, washrooms, toilets, showers, septic foot baths, a doctor's office with a separate toilet. Close to the entrance are cloakrooms and toilets for visitors. A parking lot with 34 spaces has been built around the swimming complex. The temperature and humidity in the pool hall is achieved through a fully automated modern air conditioning system. All sports clubs submit schedules that are permanent or are requested every month to the Facility Manager for the winter and summer periods of use of training hours in the swimming pool. A number of local, national and international swimming and water polo competitions are held at the Meden Rudnik swimming pool.
