🎨 City Gallery "Petko Zadgorski"

A walk in the aristocratic old city center and hidden streets imperceptibly leads to the Burgas Art Gallery "Petko Zadgorski". It is one of the oldest and most authoritative art institutions in Bulgaria, founded in 1946. It bears the name of the great Burgas artist and sculptor Petko Zadgorski, who was also the first chairman of the local artists' association.

The gallery is housed in the building of a former Jewish synagogue - just one of the few reasons to visit it. Another would be that it was designed by the famous architect Ricardo Toscani. Today, the exhibition, located on three floors, presents the best of its funds. It consists of over 2800 works - icons, paintings, sculptures, graphics. The gallery owns works by: Vladimir Dimitrov - The Master, Bencho Obreshkov, Tseno Todorov, Nikola Marinov, Zlatyu Boyadzhiev and others.

🎨 Society of Artists

The exhibition hall of the Society of Burgas Artists is one of the most dynamic and lively cultural spaces in Burgas. This beautiful gallery is located in a key and easily accessible location in the center of the seaside city. Bogoridi Gallery and Art Center is another emblematic cultural center in Burgas, located on the busiest pedestrian thoroughfare in the city - 48 Knyaz Aleko Bogoridi Street. Unlike classic exhibition halls, it also functions as a dynamic art center that combines art with various interactive events. The place is known for its events such as “Drawing and Wine”, creative workshops (for example, for mandalas or martenitsa), as well as for hosting acoustic evenings with poetry and live music.
